Savannah State University Day set for Sunday

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah State University Day will take place on Sunday.

The fun starts 10 a.m. at Connor's Temple Baptist Church, 509 West Gwinnett St.

Savannah Mayor and Savannah State Alumna, Edna Jackson, will be the guest speaker.

After the ceremony, there will be a gospel concert at St. John Baptist Church, 522-28 Hartridge St., beginning at 5 p.m. The annual concert will feature Dottie Peoples and opening performances and choral back-up by the SSU Wesleyan and Armstrong Atlantic State University gospel choirs.
