SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
A Savannah man was charged Friday in connection with a shooting
that occurred Jan. 23.
Ernest Patterson, 21, was charged with aggravated assault,
possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, attempted armed robbery, and
possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the commission of a crime.
John Perry, 25, was shot when two men were outside his Turtle
Creek Apartment in the 11900 block of White Bluff Road fired his the door.
Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police investigators determined
Patterson fired the shots after a drug-related confrontation. Violent crimes
detectives continue to investigate the shooting.
