Mighty Eighth to host Character Counts! Super Saturday
POOLER, GA (WTOC) -
The Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum and Savannah Chatham County Public School System will be hosting their Character Counts! Super Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. The Character Counts! Partnership allows area schools to implement the national Character Counts! Core values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
Students and parents are encouraged to attend the free event to learn more about the importance of strong character and good decision making. The Super Saturday event is focused towards middle and high school students. Students will be able to attend a two hour interactive presentation including the six character traits, the effects of cyber bullying, lunch and a tour of the museum. The Savannah High School Band and cheerleaders will also perform during the event.
