Tybee Island holds 5th Annual Mardi Gras celebration

TYBEE ISLAND, GA (WTOC) -

Tybee Island covered itself in purple, green, and gold Saturday afternoon.

They held their 5th annual Mardi Gras Tybee celebration.

The laid back event celebrates the traditions of Mardi Gras as well as Tybee's casual coastal charm. There was entertainment, lavish costumes, a SCAD circus, and a whole lot of fun.

A few couples even decided to renew their marital vows at a special Mardi Gras style renewal ceremony.
