Car accident claims life on highway 57 in McIntosh

MCINTOSH CO., GA (WTOC) -

Deadly crash happened Saturday morning at mile marker number 1 along highway 57 in McIntosh county.

The Georgia State Patrol says 62 year old Harry Emmons from Brunswick was driving this car.

Troopers believe Emmons was trying to pass two other vehicles while traveling at a high rate of speed.

He then lost control hit the shoulder of highway 57 causing the car to flip several times.

Sadly officers on the scene say the 62 year old was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car.
