SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
The 2013 Georgia History Festival's Super Museum Sunday will take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 10. During the festival, the Georgia Historical Society and over 40 other participating museums and historical sites in coastal Georgia and surrounding areas will be open to the public free of charge.
Folks at Fort Pulaski National Monumument gave guided tours and musket demonstrations throughout the day. Participants say it's a great day for folks to get out and learn about the history that's right here in our area.
Teacher and Park Ranger Nancy Gouck says, "it's a great thing for family's to get out and see what's in the area and learn what is valuable to our history and to our culture. Also, it's a great day for our schools students in the area to come and experience the fort and the history that they're learning about in school."
