MARIETTA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Cobb County police are investigating an armed robbery at Waffle House in Marietta. According to investigators, two men entered the restaurant located at 3635 Austell Road around 2:28 a.m. Saturday and approached a cashier.
They demanded the cash register be opened and took an undisclosed amount of money along with a small safe that was under the register. The men then left the restaurant and fled in opposite directions.
The first suspect is described as 5'9" in height, approximately 20-25 years old, with slender build. He was last seen wearing a blue bandanna covering his face and a black hooded sweatshirt. He was armed with a semiautomatic handgun.
The other suspect is also described as 5'9" in height, 20-25 years old. He was last seen wearing a blue bandanna covering his face and dark clothing.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
