One inmate dead after scuffle at Smith State Prison

GLENNVILLE, GA (WTOC) -

A scuffle at a prison has resulted in one inmate's death.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is working to figure out what resulted in the death of an inmate at Smith State prison near Glennville, Georgia.

The commotion began around 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Investigators say the prison is on lockdown.

Very little information has been released at this time.
