The Georgia tax holiday is helping business at Savannah Mall, but it isn't the only reason the mall is booming. One year ago, Bass Pro Shops opened up, bringing new business and new life. In October, expect another boost thanks to the new Target store.
Mall VP Nathan Kelly credits "the sheer power of Bass Pro and Target and their ability to draw people to the center," adding, "and Target is not even open yet."
Savannah Mall says it have another new store coming, filling the spot where Montgomery Ward was. They won't say what store it is, only that it will open by Thanksgiving and will be the only one of its kind. We'll keep you posted.
