The United States Congressional High School Art Exhibit is on display at Armstrong Atlantic State University. All of the work comes from high school students living in District One. The artwork was selected by judges to be on display for two weeks. One piece will then move on to Washington, D.C. to represent Congressman Jack Kingston in the hallway leading to the U.S. Capitol for one year.
"It is wonderful to have so many young artists in the area exhibiting their work in this gallery. It is always nice to see the talent we have out there in the community," said Tom Cato, Armstrong Atlantic State University.
Folks can check out the 56 pieces at the Fine Arts Hall at Armstrong Atlantic State University from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Feb. 22. Awards will be given out on Feb. 24.
