Former President Jimmy Carter scheduled to speak at Ga. Southern

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

Georgia Southern University is getting ready for a visit from a former president and first lady.

Former President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalyn Carter are scheduled to speak to students and faculty on the Georgia Southern University campus Tuesday evening in Statesboro.

The Carters have been invited to speak at the school as part of its Leadership Lecture Series.

Tickets for the event were free and available on a first come, first served basis, and have already been distributed. Tickets will not be available at the door the night of the event.

The discussion is slated to begin at 7 p.m. in the Hanner Fieldhouse.
