School resource officer accused of molesting children will stand trial

HAMPTON CO., SC (WTOC) -

On Tuesday, a Hampton County judge ruled that there is probable cause for the resource officer accused of molesting children while on duty to stand trial.

Larry Hayward and the 15-year-old victim who accused Hayward of molesting him appeared in court Tuesday for the first time since Hayward was arrested in January.

A South Carolina law enforcement agent said they were able to build a case against Hayward using a recording the victim made of Heyward asking the teen to engage in sexual acts.
