RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) -
A team of Richland County Sheriff's deputies say they found evidence of an illegal gambling operation in a Lower Richland County home.
Deputies say officers from the Community Action Team responded to a Crimestoppers tip that illegal gambling was being run out of a house at 7522 Stone Street.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says deputies found seven illegal gambling machines, a .38 revolver, about $6,600 in cash, and a jar containing marijuana inside the home. Lott says deputies also found ledgers tallying payouts, IOUs, profit and loss.
Deputies arrested 73-year-old Betty Graham. She is accused of running the gambling operation. Sheriff Lott says she was charged in connection with operating a gambling house, the gaming machines and the drugs.
Graham was taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center for a bond hearing.
