HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -
The mall at Shelter Cove is getting a
new look after the Hilton Head town board approved the developer's plans.
The Island Packet reports
that the plans include an outdoor mall with single-story shops. Kroger and Belk
will be located on the two ends and were unanimously approved by the board. There
are also 210 apartments are also included in the plan.
The project is expected to cost $40
million and could begin in the next 30 days and be open by the spring or summer
of 2014. Demolition of the old mall began on Jan. 10.
