HINESVILLE, GA (WTOC) -
The
public comment period is extended into next month for the Army's Programmatic
Environmental Assessment for Army 2020 Force Structure Realignment.
The
study examines effects of growth and reduction at Army installations. The
study evaluates the impact of adding 3,000 personnel and reducing 8,000 personnel
at Fort Stewart.
The
Department of Defense has not made any decisions about growth, reduction, or
maintaining the status quo at any army installation, according to a news
release from the Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield Public Affairs Office.
The
public comment period has been extended to March 21.
