SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

WTOC-TV is proud to announce our annual St. Patrick's Day Coloring Contest, and we look forward to your participation. The deadline for entry is March 1. GET THE ENTRY FORM HERE

The winner will have his/her artwork featured on the St. Patrick's Day section on WTOC.com along with a feature article on the student, teacher and school plus be mentioned on television.  In addition, the winner will receive a special gift. The overall winner will have the chance to green the Forsyth Fountain on March 8.

Amy Doan won the 2012 contest. "I'm really proud...and a little bit overwhelmed," Amy told WTOC when she was announced as the 2012 winner.

Contest Rules

The contest is open to all students in the WTOC viewing area. (public, private and parochial).  One entry per student.

To enter, use crayons, markers and/or colored pencils to draw a picture in the box provided on the entry form depicting a St. Patrick's Day theme. Do not trace!  Return entries to Attention:  Christine Edwards, WTOC-TV. Do not fold entries. All entries must be received at WTOC by March 1, at 5 p.m.. The judging will take place on Tuesday March 5.

Five finalists will be picked by a selection committee consisting of two members of the St. Patrick's Day committee, one representative from our sponsors and one of WTOC's news anchors.  Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, color and theme. The winner will be announced the week of March 4 during the 5 p.m. news. The overall winner will have his/her artwork featured on the online St. Patrick's Day web page on WTOC.com along with a feature article on the student, teacher and school. In addition, the winner will receive a special gift. The overall winner will have the chance to green the Forsyth Fountain on Friday March 8th.  The winners in each division* will receive a WTOC prize and will be mentioned in the feature article on wtoc and wtoc.com.

 *The divisions break down as follows: 

Division A 1st and 2nd grade

Division B 3rd and 4th grade

Division C 5th and 6th grade

There is no purchase necessary to enter the contest. Employees of WTOC or members of the Parade Committee, our sponsors and their families are not eligible to enter or win.
