SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Hundreds gathered Friday night for the Savannah chapter of the Black Nurses Association's annual fundraising gala at the Marriott Riverfront.The organization's mission is to promote fairness in the workplace and meet the healthcare needs in the community.
The group also awarded the Cheryl W. Capers Scholarship Award to two nursing students. Charolette Cuervas and Shaundra Robinson each received a $1,000 scholarship.
WTOC's Dawn Baker served as the emcee for the event.
