Former Vice President Al Gore appears at Savannah Book Festival

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Former Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore stopped by Savannah to promote a book.

He was here Saturday for the Savannah Book Festival to promote his new work "The Future".

Gore spoke to a packed house at the Trinity United Methodist Church. He said although the world is changing fast he thinks those changes will a positive thing in the long term.

Gore is one of the many well known authors in town this weekend showing off their books at the festival.
