SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Prospective teachers and workers in education met at Beaufort County Schools to be interviewed for careers with the school system.
District principals, curriculum coordinators, and teachers gathered Saturday at the district's annual "Career Fair" to interview candidates for classroom teaching jobs.
More than 175 applicants pre-registered to meet with school leaders, hoping to get a chance to help out in the classroom. The gymnasium was filled with talented and enthusastic young people all wanting to get a head start on their future careers.
"It's a great chance for us to bring teachers in that are interested in joining our system, for us to get to know them and for them to get to know us." said Dr. Dereck Rhoads, Chief Instructional Services Officer.
