At the Ralph Mark Civil Rights Museum hundreds of people attend the second father daughter dance. The first was held in 2011 and nearly three hundred people attended. The event gives fathers an opportunity to spend an evening with their daughters to enjoy dinner and dancing. The elegant affair included a southern style dinner, entertainment and some special guest speakers.

Organizer Lil G says, "I love seeing how many dads come out with their daughters and I love seeing the wide variety of ages that come out. You know, we have older guys that come out with their older daughters, we have younger guys come out with their younger daughters. It's just a good environment for all ages and I just love seeing all the different faces and the diversity."

The event also included a father daughter look-a-like contest and a father daughter dance contest.
