Early morning fire destroys church in Tattnall County

TATTNALL CO., GA (WTOC) -

A church was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning in Tattnall County.

Fire Investigators with Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens' office and the Collins Police Department responded to a fire at Collins Full Gospel Tabernacle Church on Pearl Street around 6:30 a.m.

Brad Anderson, Chief of Police in Collins, tells WTOC that they are investigating the cause of the fire but as of now do not expect any foul play was involved.

A neighbor spotted the fire and called 9-1-1. There were no injuries during the blaze.
