
Outside of the metro Atlanta area, Savannah has the highest rate of persons living with HIV.
The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that one out of five people living with HIV/AIDS in the United States is unaware of their HIV status.
That is why the Chatham County Health Department would like to remind the public that they offer HIV testing at no cost from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Chatham County Health Department is located at 1395 Eisenhower Drive. No appointment is needed and test results are available in 15 to 20 minutes.
