3 arrested in Jeff Davis County drug investigation

JEFF DAVIS CO., GA (WTOC) -
The Jeff Davis County Sheriff's Office arrested three people in an undercover narcotics investigation.
Levon Theodore Chatman, of Hazlehurst, was arrested for one count of sale of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
Chatman had approximately 20 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $1,100 when he was arrested, according to the sheriff's office. He is currently on federal probation. After facing his local/ state charges, Chatman will be turned over to the U.S. Marshals Service.
On Feb. 16, the sheriff's office executed a search warrant at 15 Gardenia Lane lot # 27 in Hazlehurst. During the search, deputies discovered cocaine, marijuana, a .12-gauge shotgun, weighing scales and more than $1,300 in cash, according to the sheriff's office.
Darius J. Sturgis who lived at the home was arrested. He's charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is also charged with two counts of the sale of cocaine in connection with an incident earlier in February.
Brandon Dale Lawhorn, of Lumber City, was also arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
