Atlanta police and fire units responded to the area around Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Broad Street in downtown Atlanta Monday night.
Police said when they arrived on the scene around 7 p.m., they found
three manhole covers that had been blown from the street into the air.

Georgia Power had several people on scene and a crew that responded to
further investigate," said Officer John Chafee with the Atlanta Police Department.
Ten customers are without power. Power is expected to be restored Tuesday afternoon.
"I am not sure what force these things come up with, but a manhole cover is pretty heavy, so it takes some force to get it off the road and into the air," Chafee said. "It is something that is concerning, so we want to make sure the issue is addressed. Fortunately, no one was injured."
