New wristbands stay readable, scannable for up to 14 days in harshest hospital environments.
LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill., Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Zebra Technologies Corporation today announced that it will introduce its newest patient wristband – the Z-Band® UltraSoft – at the HIMSS 2013 Annual Conference and Exhibition.
The new Z-Band UltraSoft wristbands will be on display and free samples will be available at HIMSS booth #3223. Healthcare providers are invited to stop by Zebra's HIMSS booth #3223 to experience for themselves the softest and most durable thermal-printed barcoded patient wristbands on the market. They can also visit www.zebra.com/HIMSS to schedule a one-on-one meeting.
The Z-Band UltraSoft wristbands allow healthcare providers to print patient information and barcodes directly on the wristbands. The wristbands are antimicrobial and resistant to most hand sanitizers, ensuring readable text and scannable barcodes for up to 14 days.
"We are committed to helping healthcare facilities successfully transition to EHR and increase patient safety by providing solutions that improve the accuracy of patient information," said Andy Tippet, Healthcare Practice Leader at Zebra. "A barcode that fails to scan or requires repeated attempts to scan jeopardizes patient safety and staff productivity. Our research team tested the image durability of the Z-Band to ensure optimum image durability and scanning performance, while providing ultimate patient comfort."
To learn more about the Z-Band UltraSoft wristband and try a free sample, visit Zebra at HIMSS booth #3223 on March 4-6 in New Orleans.
