CAMDEN CO., GA (WTOC) -
Four suspects were spotted on Interstate 95 and arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop in Camden County in connection with an armed robbery in Florida.
At about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, investigators from the Brevard County Sheriff's Office contacted the Camden County Sheriff's Office and asking that deputies be on the lookout for a vehicle used in an armed robbery in Titusville, Fla.
Deputies were on the lookout for a silver Ford Fusion driven by Yubran Marwalt Alverez-Vazquez, 20, of Bluffton, according to the sheriff's office.
Alverez-Vazquez had active warrants on him out of Brevard County on charges of armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and grand theft, according to the sheriff's office.
Dep. Daniel O'Neal, Sgt. Devon Carter and Cpl. Matt Chambliss were at mile marker 9 on I-95 looking out for the car. The Ford Fusion passed them at about 8:15 p.m. Chambliss pulled the car over that was driven by Jaromy Jazmin Floriano, 20, of Bluffton, according to the sheriff's office.
The car was owned by Alverez-Vazquez and that she was following a white SUV. Deputies found a loaded 12-gauge shotgun by the driver's seat hidden under a towel, a small amount of marijuana and Floriano's infant child, according to the sheriff's office.
Brevard County investigators got to the scene and confirmed that Floriano was a suspect in the armed robbery. She was taken into custody and her child was turned over to the Division of Family and Children Services.
Floriano is charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon.
At about 9:10 p.m., deputies were notified of suspicious activity at the Sunshine Travel Plaza at Exit 14 in Woodbine.
Dep. Jerry Furr and a Georgia State Patrol trooper responded and stopped a white Dodge Durango at Exit 14.
The Durango, was bearing the tags of a black Audi, was driven by Brittany Lynn Shuman, 25, of Savannah, and Matthew Emmanuel Vazquez, 22, of Savannah, was with her, according to the sheriff's office.
Shuman and Vazquez told deputies that Alverez-Vazquez was headed northbound on I-95 driving a gold Lexus sedan.
Investigators found in the Durango items believed to have been stolen in the armed robbery and a small amount of marijuana, according to the sheriff's office. A child in the SUV, believed to be Shuman's child, was turned over to a family member.
At 9:20 p.m. a gold Lexus was stopped by Sgt. Devon Carter and Dep. Chad Palmer at the Glynn-Camden county line.
Alverez-Vazquez was driving and taken into custody. The Lexus was stolen in Orange County, Fla.
The four suspects are at the Camden County Jail. Shuman is charged with possession of drug-related objects. Vazquez is charged with bringing stolen property into the state and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Alverez-Vazquez is charged with being a fugitive from justice and theft by bringing stolen property into the state.
