Commissioners tour new Chatham County Jail

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Chatham County Commissioners got a first hand look at the new Chatham County Jail on Wednesday.

Sheriff Al St Lawrence and some of his deputies lead the commission on the tour. They got a look at the complete parts, including a housing unit and medical facility.

They also got a look at the laundry room, new housing, and kitchen, which are still under construction.

The expansion is being funded with SPLOST money.
