Daniel Defense to hold job fair Thursday in Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Daniel Defense is holding a job fair Thursday.

The company is looking to fill 60 positions which will increase the number of their full-time employees by nearly 40-percent.

The company makes automatic and semi-automatic rifles for both military and civilians.

Applicants don't have to have a high school diploma, but must be legally able to buy a gun. Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.

The job fair will be held Feb. 21 from noon until 6 p.m. at the Embassy Suites, 145 Mulberry Blvd. in Savannah.

On Friday, parents lined the Pine Barren Road, trying to retrieve their kids. The middle school students were relocated to West Chatham Elementary School after a suspicious package was found at West Chatham Middle School.
