Bulloch County Schools Back in Session

Play time's over for thousands of students in one community this morning. More than 8,000 Bulloch County students will be standing in line at the bus stop getting ready to head back to school.

And of course, teachers and staff get ready to begin the year. School system officials say the students are growing in numbers. They've registered 300 new ones in Bulloch County in the just the last three days.

"We do have a good number of kindergarten registrations and we have about ten percent that are new people into the county coming to register," said assistant superintendent Charles Wilson. "We've been registering students steadily all summer."

Tattnall and Screven County schools started classes on Monday. Savannah-Chatham students go back to school on August 16.
