SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
More than thirty universities coming together at the "Megagenisis VII" event Saturday.
Students grades five through twelve along with their parents were invited to come out and get the resources they need to excel in high school and go to collece. Organizers say events like these will help students to become more interested in their future careers.
"It's important because it helps them form where they want to go in life and one they identify their goals in life they become better students nowadays. The drop out rate goes down, teen pregnancy goes down because we have more focuses students," said Dr. Zke Zimmerman.
High school seniors were even invited to bring their high school transcripts so representatives for varous colleges could do on-site admission or scholarship offers.
