Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are questioning attendees of a party where a 20-year old man was shot to death early Sunday morning.
Around 100 people attended the party in the 2100 block of Florida Avenue in East Savannah when Marray Martin was shot. He was pronounced dead at Memorial University Medical Center.
Patrol officers responded to a shots fired call at the house around 1 a.m. to find screaming party-goers running from the scene.
First responders struggled to get through the crowd to the room where Martin was found.
SCMPD investigators worked through the night questioning people at the party, and continue their investigation.
Neighbors say the homeowners are new to the area and they are surprised to hear of the crime.
"hey have a neighborhood watch and this is a pretty decent neighborhood. These people just moved here. I don't know what the problem is. I know a 20 year old died. That is a tragedy," said neighbor George Jones.
