With the Georgia primary runoff just a week away, candidates are out in force stumping for votes. Today Democratic US Senate candidate Cliff Oxford brought his message of job creation to Johnson Square in Savannah. Oxford is running against Rep. Denise Majette (D-GA Dist. 4) who was also out today speaking to the International Longshoreman's Association, ILA Local 1414.
"I will continue as Georgia's next senator to fight for working men and women, as I have in the House of Representatives," said Majette.
"My opponent, Ms. Majette, has brought not one idea, not one proposal, much less than a solution on any issues that face Georgia," said Oxford.
The primary runoff is Tuesday, August 10. The winner in this contest will face Republican Johnny Isakson for a seat in the US Senate.
