Checkpoint set for Lady's Island

LADY'S ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Unit will be conducting a checkpoint on Wednesday night.

The checkpoint will be set up from 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Lady's Island Drive at Islands Causeway.

The checkpoint will be conducted to enforce South Carolina state laws and will focus on violations related to driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, and insurance, according to the BCSO.

Drivers passing through the checkpoint will be asked to provide their driver's license, registration, and proof of vehicle insurance.
