Report: Woman calls police, stabs 2 people after they arrive

ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) -

A Rock Hill woman was arrested after she stabbed two people as police she called stood outside, according to a report from the Rock Hill Police Department.

The incident happened Sunday between 4 and 5 p.m. at an apartment on Patriot Parkway.

Officers were called to the home by Kimberly Morris, 47, who said someone in the apartment had a pistol. When police arrived, they found the weapon, a 9 mm High Point, behind a dresser in a bedroom, the report states.

During the investigation, an argument broke out between Morris and a man at the scene. The altercation ended, and the officers took the weapon and went to their patrol cars. That's when, officials said, they heard yelling coming from inside the apartment.

An officer went back, and was met at the door by a woman who was bleeding from her right earlobe who said she had been stabbed by Morris. The man Morris had been arguing with was also stabbed in the chest, police said.

Morris was found in a bedroom, handed the officer a knife, and said that she had stabbed both victims. She then turned around, crossed her wrists behind her back, and told the officer to take her to jail, the report states.

Morris was arrested and charged with two counts of second degree assault and battery.
