If you live in Savannah, your property taxes could be going down ever so slightly. Today the Savannah City Council voted unanimously to amend the 2004 Revenue Ordinance, dropping the city's millage rate from 13.3 to 13.1. The city held several public hearings on the matter before setting the millage.
If you're calculating, remember that one mill equals one dollar in property tax for every thousand dollars of taxable property value.
