MCINTOSH CO., GA (WTOC) -
The
northbound lanes on I-95 in McIntosh County are back open after a fiery wreck had
the lanes closed for hours overnight.
The
wreck happened just before 11 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 95 northbound at exit
49, mile marker 48. Georgia State Patrol says they were on the scene as late as
1 a.m. Wednesday waiting on wreckage crews to clean-up the crash.
A
passerby says that one car went underneath a tractor trailer and another car caught
fire. GSP has not released details on the crash at this time.
At least one person was taken to the hospital. There is no word on their
condition.
GSP is
looking into the cause of the wreck.
