Police: teens say guy made them smoke pot

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) -

An 18-year-old Beaufort man is was arrested on charges of giving drugs to children near an elementary school.

Beaufort police said Jason Garvin gave pot to children in the woods near Mossy Oaks Elementary School. The children were ages 12, 13 and 14 years old.

Police said they received complaints from teens saying that Garvin forced them to smoke pot.

Garvin is being held in the Beaufort County Detention Center. He faces several charges.
