HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -
Hilton Head's farmers market is shutting down.
The group said a lack of support from the town over
the past two years led to the shut down, according to the Island Packet.
Organizers said they had been trying to get signage
around the town promoting the market, but ordinances prevented that from
happening.
A new farmer's market will open at the site of the former mall at Shelter Cove
on May 1 and will be run by the Island Recreation Association.
