For those of you awaiting the zombie apocalypse you should've been on river street Saturday.
Just as we feared a full on "assault" of vampires and zombies. But it's a good thing. The group's trying to take a" bite" out of diabetes.
The 2013 "kiss a pig" campaign kicked off Saturday afternoon with the hope of sinking their teeth into finding a cure. Diabetes is the nation's 5th deadliest disease and is the leading cause of heart disease, stroke, blindness and kidney failure.
The campaign is a three month long competition to see who will raise the most money and ultimately get to kiss the famous pig mascot.
