Intersection at Cascade Road SW and Kimberly Road SW
FULTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A MARTA bus overturned on Kimberly Road Southwest Sunday. The driver and a passenger were on the bus at the time of the accident.
At about 3 p.m., the bus overturned and landed on its right side along the narrow two-lane road which connects Cascade Road Southwest with Campbellton Road Southwest. The single vehicle wreck closed Kimberly Road for more than three hours while two large tow trucks worked to right the bus and move it.
A male passenger onboard was able to free himself from the wreckage. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, according to Fulton County PD.
The female driver of the bus refused treatment and was taken to the company's facility for testing.
MARTA is investigating the wreck and will release more information as it becomes available.
