If
you're an immigrant and ready to upgrade your status to become a full U.S. citizen,
the Savannah Red Cross will host a "How to Become a U.S. Citizen" seminar.
The
seminar will be held Mar. 9 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the American Red Cross Chapter, 41 Park of Commerce Way in Savannah.
The Savannah Chapter of the American Red Cross will also
offer a "Preparing for Citizenship" Class for immigrants wishing to prepare for
their U.S. Citizenship test and interview. The class will run for six
consecutive Saturdays, beginning on Mar. 16 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.,
at the Southwest Chatham Branch of the Live Oak
Public Library, 14097 Abercorn St. The class will conclude on April 28.
The "Preparing for Citizenship" class will focus on U.S.
Civics and History to prepare immigrants for the Citizenship Test and help them
get ready for the interview. The fee for this class is $50, however, the
first 50 participants will pay only a $10 administration fee. The class will be
