Ogeechee River levels hit residents' front yards.
EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -
Besides low temperatures, it has been a rough few weeks for those living on the rivers.
The flood warning is over for some areas around the Ogeechee River.
For some who live off Yarborough Landing, the river has reached 13.6 feet and water is in some residents' front yards.
E.T. Bath is just one of the homeowners in the area that stopped by to check on his land on Monday morning.
"The water came up to the property and covered part of it," Bath said.
Many people are dealing with much worse. One yard is almost completely under water.
"We have to tie stuff down [or] stuff that will float away," one resident said.
River levels in some areas are expected to go down later this week.
But the Ogeechee River at Eden is still under a flood warning as well as the Altamaha River in Baxley and the Ohoopee River in Reidsville.
