HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -
The Hilton Head Island
Town Council is meeting to discuss new restrictions for outdoor burning and
fire alarms.
It's all about the
2013 fire and rescue strategic plan. It would ban outdoor burning and would
impose fines for false fire alarms. Both of which were hotly debated in
committees.
The plan also includes
an off-island hurricane evacuation shelter for fire and rescue staff and
equipment.
