GSU student dies after being hit by drunk driver

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

A Georgia Southern University student has died nearly a month after being hit by a drunk driver.

The GSU Dean of Students say Nick Ward had been in the Intensive Care Unit at Memorial since being hit on Feb. 8.

The driver will face charges but there is no word on what they are.

Counseling services are available at GSU for students.
