Chatham County fights for LOST funds

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Chatham County officials and local municipalities are still trying to reach a deal on how to distribute money from Local Option Sales Tax.

Chatham County officials took the stand Tuesday, arguing the county deserves up to 33 percent of the sales tax funding, which is their best final offer.

They say the funds would be used to pay for jail expansion costs.

City officials will argue their side Wednesday.
