Kathy Love had no training or skills beyond high school. She was a stay-at-home mother of two when a divorce changed her path completely.
Her journey to college and higher education convinced her of the value of schools such as Savannah Technical College where she is now the president.
"I had the best of both worlds. I had the ability to get paid to help others to do the same thing that I had done. Go back to school and get a good career to get the training that they needed to have a great career," Love said.
Love will be honored Friday as one of the Girl Scouts 2013 Women of Distinction.
