FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Witnesses say a
Timmonsville man struck a victim with his vehicle after a verbal altercation
Tuesday.
Donald Anderson, 37, was arrested Wednesday
by Florence County Sheriff's Office investigators and charged with assault and
battery of a high and aggravated nature, a felony punishable by up to 20 years
in prison, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
Witnesses say that after a verbal altercation
with the victim, Anderson drove to the victim's residence on Country lane near
Timmonsville, and struck the victim with his vehicle in the front yard. He then
left the scene, the release states, and the victim was taken to a nearby
hospital. Officials could not provide more information on the victim's
condition.
"When the suspect was arrested
last night the charge was listed as attempted murder," said Capt. Nunn, with FCSO.
"The arrest warrant signed by the Judge
is for ABHAN. We do not provide any identifying information on victims."
