EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

The Effingham County Sheriff's Office said Thursday afternoon that a missing man who suffers from dementia has been found safe.

Deputies are searching for John Moore Sr., 60, of Long Bridge Road in Effingham County.  ECSO has obtained video from a Rincon business of Moore in the overnight hours.

"The Effingham County Sheriff's Office has issued a Mattie's call for John Moore Sr.," said Effingham County Sheriff's Office spokesman David Ehsanipoor in a statement.

In the video, Moore was wearing flannel-type shirt with a black hood over his head. "ECSO is continuing to search and is concerned for his safety," he said.

The family reported that Moore was last seen in the overnight hours and has not been seen since.  ECSO and the family are very worried about his safety.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Effingham County Sheriff's Office at 912.754.3449.
