SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Going once, going twice, sold!

Many items were up for grabs Thursday evening at the Coastal Conservation Association's 26th annual banquet and auction. The auction was held at the Alee Temple.

"We've got more items than we have ever had and the best quality of items we have ever had." said Doug Kellogg, Banquet Chair.

They are expecting to raise anywhere from $25,000 to $35,000 tonight. The money will help in educating the public on conservation of marine resources.

"Some of the things we are going to do this year is put about 100 thousand pounds of recycled oyster shells back into local waters; look forward to getting that done." said William Lattimore, President of Savannah Chapter.

WTOC's Sonny Dixon served as the auctioneer tonight.
