Several students at Bacon County High School got the chance to show youngsters the importance of agriculture.
Members of the FFA chapter taught fifth-graders as part of the county's annual Ag Day.
Students heard from adults on the importance of agriculture to the local economy and the variety of jobs available. Organizers said the lessons stay with students longer than if they just taught from a book.
"In FFA, we think it's more important to be able to interact with the subject and pick it up and look at it up close and see what it s about," said Darrell Boatright, an FFA adviser.
This marks the school's 10th year of Ag Day.
